UMLALAZI Ski Boat Club hosted their annul Cuta Classic fishing competition last weekend.Wayne Lawrie was the overall winner, with a King Mackerel of 28,6 kg.The competition was very well supported and there were plenty of prizes to go round.The Ritchie Auto sponsored car was however unfortunately driven back to the shop as no one caught a Cuta of over 33,5kg, which was the requirement for winning this prize.
Cuta Section: 1st Cuta Classic Wayne Lawrie with a King Mackerel of 28,6kg. 2nd Andre Joubert with a 23,8kg King Mackerel 3rd Pat Wright with 22,6kg 4th Norman Brown with 20,8kg 5th Craig Swartz with 18,8kg 6th Jorrie Jordaan with 18,8kg 7th Johan Joubert with 18,6kg 8th Grant Lawrie with 17,1kgThe Lady prize went to Lesah Louw who caught a 6.3kg Bonita and the Junior prize went to Evan Jackson who caught a 6,7kg Mirror Kingfish.Three prizes were also awarded for other game fish and for bottom fish caught over the duration of the competition.
