ZULULAND angling greats have been honoured by the South African Shore Angling Association.
Among those were Protea anglers Roy Woodley, Claude D'Offay, Nigel Simmonds and Julian Pybus who recently participated in the international between South Africa and Namibia.
Worldwide our shore anglers are regarded as the best and are highly advanced in the techniques that they employ.

Boosting participation
The executive and management of SASAA have sanctioned a 10-year plan to bolster the participation of South Africans in this sport.
Recently, with the support of the 'Angling with Blackfin' team, two informative DVDs have been made available to interested anglers, dealing with the history and passionate competitiveness of the sport.
Currently more that four million individuals within South Africa practice angling in some form.
This makes angling the largest participation sport in SA - a trend that is echoed throughout the world with America having more anglers practicing the sport than golf and tennis combined.
