Zululand. This is a good deep drenching all wet weather from Richardsbay
all the way to Pongola.
This may be the well deserved brake that all where waiting for.
Fishermen, Farmers and Eco-Tourist. With water levels low up north in
St. Lucia Lake system all the way to water shortages in Mkuzi Game
Reserve. Commercial Sugar Cane and substance farmers welcome this relief.
St. Lucia Estuary in the southern section of iSimangaliso Wetlands
Park, where the mouth is currently close, with water levels that where
topped up with sediment laden water from the iMfolozi also benefits
from rain falling directly onto the system. Most of the Wetlands systems
water is from rain falling directly onto the system and peculating
through dunes to the low lying areas.
Rain water where flooding the streets of Richardsbay and some
unfortunate motorist got stranded because of some wet electrical
systems. The area around Pelican island in Richardsbay where muddy and
void of anglers as well as fun seekers.
This rain will continue until Friday 30 January 2009. Despite leaking
roofs even at new extensions to the Boardwalk center it is a welcoming
relief for man and beast.
