Weather for Zululand Mtumzini to Kosi Bay 17 - 21 June 2010

After a very cold two days Zululanders can look forward to a nice warm and sunny weekend. After this sudden cold spell we can expect to catch shad at all our favorite spots. Be ready at sunrise with Sardines and red bun traces. Late afternoons should also deliver good numbers.

Richards Bay
Alkant Strand or better known as the Palm Beach area, The North and Short Pier and the ever favorite T-Jetty will be places to visit. For the night owls there is always the Commercial slipway on Naval Island. Low Tides at Green Africa will be favorable times to hunt for Grunter. Anglers at Shaky Rocks should use live or drift bait for Salmon. Best times for fishing around Naval Island is late afternoon until early evening.

St. Lucia Estuary
Early morning around Isinkwe Beach up north just past Jabulani Beach. The fit anglers will find it favorable to spend the afternoons at iMfolozi River mouth till early evening. Use your early morning Shad sparingly on sliders. Ask the locals what it is and how it works. For live bait use light tackle and number 4 or 6 hooks for Silver Salago or three spot Pompano. Slade with waves and be patient. Many patient anglers will be well rewarded.

Fish photo's will be taken at The Fish Zone in Richards Bay and Raggie Tackle in St. Lucia. also email stluciaorgza@gmail.com and we will publish it to the Blog. We are still looking for people at Sodwana and Mtumzini to contribute to our Fishing Report Updates. Contributors do get full website exposure. See our Sites and page ranks for benefits.
