Weekend Weather Zululand North Coast

Clear Skies until Sunday Morning. With the weather change on Sunday this will be a good weekend to get all the dusted fishing rods out of storage and rig them up for some action. Shad is sure to bite every where, but reports of good catches from St. Lucia is rolling in. Although this can not be substantiated with  photographic evidence. Some pockets of bait fish made its way up past St. Lucia and Deep Sea anglers are adamant to catch Queen Mackerel along the iSimangaliso Wetlands Park.

Cape Vidal beach launch is a bit tricky at the moment and only experienced skippers should chance a launch from this favorite fishing destination. St. Lucia is also a difficult launch but the Charter Boats operating from this coast line is use to the conditions and with almost no wind leading to Friday and Saturday people can start planning their bookings on local boats like Maverick, Wave Dancer and Harlekyn.

For people launching from Richards Bay the fishing spots at Jolly Rubino seems to be a fair target. For the Rock and surf anglers it is always good news to hear that rumor has it that some Game fish was caught off the St. Lucia Estuary beaches and favorable fishing spots will be between iMfolozi River Mouth and the slides. Shad will be caught early in the morning and again late in the afternoon. Shad on slide is a good option to target The Game fish that follow the bait pockets. Cold weather around the country makes prediction of a good sardine run this year not to far fetched.
