Weather for 09 to 13 June 2010

With the next to days Wednesday and Thursday being over cast and rainy. It is a relief to know that the weather forecast for the weekend looks much better. Friday, Saturday and Sunday should be clear and sunny. Nice days to spend family fishing days on the beach.

Richards Bay
Some nice shad was caught from Palm Beach just north of Alkant strand Richards Bay. With clear evenings Shaky rocks around Naval Island and the Comercial slip way will be hot spots. Club members will remember the nice size Stumpnose that was caught from Richards bay Ski Boat Club. More and more reports of Salmon is coming in although Henry and Quinton from Fish Zone is awaiting photos to put on Fishing Report SA.

With the wind direction, as the fore cast predicts, North to North Easterly, it would be great Fishing Ski Weekend and early birds going North Early morning can work the spots in front of the Caravan Park. With the wind picking up in the afternoon the paddle into the harbor mouth should be a breeze.

St. Lucia & Cape Vidal
In the wake of the bad weather Wednesday and Thursday the fishing spots at Jabula Beach and New Beach including marker 4 and six should be nice and deep. Lately fishing was hampered because of sediment built up just behind the shore dump pushing fishable water out of reach for the avarage Rock and Surf angler. We are all still jelous of the Shad that Deon from Raggie Tackle caught, but this is our chance to get even. Remeber to enquire about the glow stick they use for night fishing. For some reason this is privelage information. Lelani must just verify the wight for us. I was told it was a litle bigger than 4.2kg's.

For those who whant to take your Kayak's to Cape Vidal please remeber to give Lawrance a call if you need a guide to assist. He offers accommodation in St. Lucia and will help people find the paddle feet amongst the rocks with a Cape Vidal Surf Launch.

Robin will be joining our blogging soon with some fish not regularly seen by our mere morsels. So please visit our site soon for updated postings.

Thight Lines and good luck
