Andries Caught a Dusky Cob

Andries Smit
Venue: St Lucia Beach
Bait: Dead Shad
Sliding Trace

Andries has been battling for two days to proof the doom sayers wrong on fish availability in St Lucia.

Today he struggled to get a dead Shad in against the side wash. Eventually he says he lobbed the Shad with the sliding trace as far as he could with sinker flying a couple of yards futher.

He shook the slide until it disappeared under the white foam. The wait was well rewarded with this great catch of 12Kg. Definitely one of the best sizes to eat a Dusky Cob.

Andries chose St Lucia to retire in with his wife Dina and made an Investment in the late '80's by buying a Sectional Title flat from yours truly. Since the beach ban when most people Sold their property Andries and Dina stuck it out and still endeavor the Splendor St Lucia offers year after year.

Thanks for the support over the years Andries and Dina. Loyal retired residents.
