St Lucia Estuary Mouth

With extreme high tide the water table has risen from under ground pushing ocean water into the Estuary.
Digging the channel between The Estuary and iMfolozi River has been stopped by Park Authority.
UCOSP wants to drain the water backing up into the flood plains to stop some of the farms from flooding.
What ever the reasons if the iMfolozi is drained into the ocean this early in the Winter we might face serious water shortages down the line.
Fishing Report:
Good catches are made between the St Lucia Estuary Beach and Mphelani Basin.
